Judging all of the films we receive can be daunting but we strive to give every film we receive the same treatment and a fair shake. We have 7 judges and all of the judges must watch every film before we make the decisions on which films made it and which didn’t. We still have some films to go through but we are preparing to announce the films and are hopeful that we will be able to do so on Friday April 6. So if you are a filmmaker who submitted a film look for an email from us sometime on Friday.

The Lancaster Area Film Festival Has Gone High Def!

By partnering with Penn Cinema LAFF is able to present the films for the 2012 festival on Blue Ray. While all the films we will be showing may not have been shot in High Definition, those that were will be able to be seen in the stunning clarity that the filmamkers intended. Thanks to the state of the art equipment at Penn Cinema all of the films, High Definition or Standard Definition, will presented at their best.

This year's festival will screen on Saturday, June 2. Once again Penn Cinemas will show all of the films.

The Lancaster Area Film Festival is proud to announce the lineup of films that will play in the 2011 Festival on April 9 at Penn Cinema in Lititz, PA. The selection committee had a hard time whittling down the numerous entries, taking until Monday night, hours before the deadline, to make their choices.
